Paramedical Tattoos & Micro-needling

Scars on your body and face can leave you feeling imperfect, uncomfortable, and lacking confidence.  Although Paramedical tattooing is a relatively new concept; it is an amazingly effective way to conceal scars, stretch marks, discolorations, or to create realistic anatomic impressions, such as fingernails or areolas. The colour and shape are always selected and designed to complement the client’s skin tone. Having scars camouflaged is a great way to feel less self conscious and more confident in the appearance of the scars. Scar camouflage and scar tattoo treatments are long-term solutions. We can also smooth and relax scars with irregular texture by using Micro-needling to generate micro-trauma to the skin. This stimulates the body’s wound-healing response, leaving your scar tissue less taut and more even.

Dark Scar Camouflage

A revolutionary way to conceal your scars and boost your confidence

Do you have dark scars that make you feel self-conscious or embarrassed? Do you wish you could hide them without using makeup or clothing? If so, you might be interested in our new service: dark scar camouflage.

Dark scar camouflage is a form of micropigmentation, a technique that uses tiny needles to implant pigment into the skin. Unlike traditional tattooing, micropigmentation does not go as deep into the skin, and the pigment is specially formulated to match your skin tone. The result is a natural-looking, long-lasting, and waterproof blending of your scars into the surrounding skin. Sometimes scars may be textured. We incorporate the use of a scar serum when we feel that our clients can benefit from improved texture before we perform the camouflage tattoo.

What are the benefits of dark scar camouflage?
  • It can cover any type of dark scar, such as acne scars, surgical scars, burns, or
  • It can improve the appearance of uneven skin texture and tone.
  • It can enhance your self-esteem and confidence.
  • It can save you time and money on makeup or clothing.
  • It can last for several years, depending on your skin type and lifestyle.
How does the process work?

The process of dark scar camouflage involves three steps: consultation, treatment, and aftercare.

It is recommended that all clients use sunscreen (minimum SPF 15) to protect their tattoos.

Pigments used in camouflage are stable and have been formulated to stay true to color.
So, the area that has been camouflaged may stay lighter in the sun than the rest of the skin that is getting a tan, as the pigment does not tan with the sun.

With that said, if the skin is suntanned the camouflage will still blend better than before the tattoo.
Once the skin is not tanned it will be perfectly blended again!

Clients should always come in at their most regular skin tone to ensure the perfect colour match.

Cleft Palate Tattoo

The ideal treatment after cleft lip and palate surgery, this treatment is designed to give a balanced shape to your lips and create a cupid’s bow. It can also reduce the appearance of scarring from previous operations.

Instead of drawing in your lip line each morning with lipstick and liner, you can achieve a lasting solution – a pleasing lip shape every day, with minimal effort on your part. For men this is an undetectable way to restore your lips and create a stubble effect if you need it.

@ Vancouver Cosmetic Tattoo we can balance the shape of your mouth and cupid’s bow – and give natural-looking definition to your lip profile.

The scar that runs from your nose to lip can also be treated with either scar camouflage or micro-needling– a technique which can soften taut scars helping to release tension and elevation in the lip philtrums.
